Warenpost International is a product that's extremely popular among online retailers for the affordable, reliable shipping of small-format, lightweight items worldwide. We explain what the shipping product is and which conditions apply.
Ship small-format products worldwide with Warenpost International
A glasses case to the USA, a T-shirt from the latest auction to Austria, two scarves to the Isle of Man: orders from abroad are increasingly part of everyday business in online retail. A reliable logistics partner is essential for shipments around the world, since every country, like every carrier, has its own rules. Shoppers on online stores and marketplaces like eBay or Amazon still expect goods to arrive quickly and safely, and for small, light items sent abroad, Warenpost International is a simple, inexpensive way.
What is DHL Warenpost International?
With Warenpost International, DHL adapts its offering to the needs of growing e-commerce. In addition to Warenpost for domestic shipping, you can send small-format, lightweight goods to 220 countries and territories worldwide conveniently and cheaply. Because modern, compact standard formats apply, this product can be more cost-effective for you and your customers than sending a packet or parcel.
The following formats apply to Warenpost International:
Minimum size: 14.0 cm long, 9.0 cm wide, 0.1 cm high
Maximum size: 35.3 cm long, 25.0 cm wide, 10.0 cm high
Maximum weight: 1,000 g
Two shipping options give you full flexibility:

DHL Warenpost International Premium lets you ship small-format goods the fastest way, with end-to-end tracking including liability, for high transparency and security.

What does Warenpost International cost?
Thanks to the product, online retailers benefit from more attractive prices for international shipping compared with parcel shipping. From a shipping volume of 200 items per year, you can set up a contract to use Warenpost International, with prices based on your agreed shipping conditions. You can also register as a DHL customer via the Sendcloud shipping platform and connect your DHL business contract to Sendcloud.
Small amount, big impact: ship sustainably
For both standard and premium shipping, fully carbon-neutral shipping is possible through the add-on DHL GoGreen service. The CO₂ emissions of each shipment are charged at 20 cents and offset through investments in climate-protection projects, another advantage that meets your customers' growing environmental awareness, and one you're allowed to promote.
How long does Warenpost International take?
Standard shipping goes as quickly as possible via the international postal network. With premium shipping, you can expect fast delivery within the EU in two to four business days.
Can you track DHL Warenpost International?
With DHL Warenpost International Premium tracking, you and your customers can keep an eye on shipping within Europe and to the world's largest countries. DHL documents delivery on site, at the outlet for notified shipments, or when placed in a parcel locker.
Where can you drop off Warenpost International?
You can drop your shipments off at your local outlet. Pickup of shipments is possible from a volume of 5,000 shipments per year.
Is Warenpost International insured?
There's no shipping insurance for standard Warenpost International, but DHL offers included liability of up to €20 for the premium variant.
